About Rosalynde LeBlanc
Rosalynde LeBlanc is a Peabody-winning producer and Bessie-nominated dancer as well as an educator and choreographer. She was a principal dancer with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company and Mikhail Baryshnikov’s White Oak Dance Project, and has also worked with NY’s Met Opera and many independent choreographers. She is a full professor at Loyola Marymount University and chaired the dance program from 2019-2025. She directs their Educational Partnership with the world renown, Jones/ Zane Company, now in its tenth year. LeBlanc’s choreography has been presented widely, including D.I.R.T San Francisco, the L.A. Dept. of Cultural Affairs, and the International Women’s Day Dance Festival. In 2025, she was one of two choreographers selected for the prestigious residency, LAUNCH:L.A. where she made the celebrated dance, WOMANLAND. She produced and co-directed the critically acclaimed documentary Can You Bring It: Bill T. Jones and D-Man in the Waters, earning grants from the Mellon, Ford, Graves, and Drollinger Foundations. The film won the 2023 Peabody Award. She is an honorary inductee into the Jesuit honor society, Alpha Sigma Nu and a recipient of the 2025 Exemplary Women in Dance in L.A. award. LeBlanc holds dance degrees from SUNY Purchase (BFA) and Hollins University (MFA). She is represented by The Movement Talent Agency (MTA).
